BrainX Technologies is looking for a Full-Time Shopify Developer/Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Shopify development, including building custom themes, apps, and extensions from scratch, as well as enhancing and optimizing existing solutions. The role requires both technical depth and creative problem-solving to deliver exceptional e-commerce experiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes and modify existing templates to meet business requirements.
- Develop and optimize Shopify public and private apps, integrating with REST & GraphQL APIs.
- Build and deploy Shopify Functions & Extensions for customized store logic and enhanced functionality.
- Work on backend and full-stack app development using Node.js, React, Next.js, or Remix.
- Act as a Shopify expert across all facets of the platform, including Shopify Plus.
- Implement and customize Shopify themes with strong knowledge of the Liquid templating language.
- Ensure responsive and high-performing UI/UX using HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to optimize landing pages, product detail pages (PDPs), and checkout flows for conversion.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure scalable and reliable solutions.
- Stay updated with Shopify ecosystem updates, emerging tools, and industry best practices.
Skills Required
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 – 3 years of proven experience as a Shopify Developer.
- Hands-on expertise in Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms.
- Experience with custom theme development, app development, and third-party integrations.
- Strong knowledge of Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX.
- Familiarity with backend technologies: Node.js, React, Next.js, and Remix.
- Excellent understanding of Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL).
- Strong grasp of conversion rate optimization (CRO) for e-commerce experiences.
- Superb analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (C1 level or above as per CEFR).
- A disciplined approach to testing, QA, and version control (Git).
